P.R.G. Hires Chris Osgood as C.O.O.

Pacific Radio Group welcomes accomplished broadcast sales specialist Chris M. Osgood to the company’s management team. Osgood comes on board as Pacific Radio Group’s Chief Operating Officer, officially taking on his new post today, Monday June 2, 2008.

“Chris will bring an air of discipline and structure to our sales department as well as expertise that will help take us to the next level,” said Chuck Bergson, President and CEO of Pacific Radio Group.

As Chief Operating Officer, Osgood will be responsible for generating additional revenue for Pacific Radio Group’s family of six radio stations on Maui and eight radio stations on the Big Island of Hawaii, as well the company’s Mauitoday.tv IPTV internet site.

Osgood’s island ties date back to the 1980s when he completed an internship at the Maui Intercontinental Hotel (now the Wailea Marriott) while working towards his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

“Joining Pacific Radio Group is a dream come true for me,” said Osgood. “I started my radio career on Maui 20 years ago and have wanted to come back to the island in an ownership capacity ever since, and now that dream has become a reality,” he said.

Osgood’s radio career actually began on the island of Maui back in 1989 as an Account Executive at KAOI-AM/FM. Over the years, Osgood has worked in sales, advertising and management at stations in Houston, Hawaii and Atlanta. That includes a three-year stint as an account executive for Susquehanna Radio’s legendary KRBE-FM station in Houston, a Sales Manager position for Clear Channel’s KUCD Star 101.9-FM on Oahu in 1999, and most recently, the General Sales manager position at Cox Radio’s WSB-AM in Atlanta, Georgia.

“His extensive knowledge of the industry and experience in both major and medium markets will be a tremendous benefit to our family of employees and the company as a whole,” said Bergson.

“PRG is the premiere neighbor-islands radio operator and I look forward to working with Chuck (Bergson) and the stellar management team on both Maui and the Big Island,” said Osgood.
